Plain Old Purple Dendrobium

This is my oldest orchid. Either it did not come with a label, or I did not know to save it. Either way, the plant grew out of the pot last year and was subdivided into three. The primary plant has rebloomed twice.

Dendrobium Oriental Smile

I acquired this at the Philadelphia Flower Show a few years back. It is a "noble type," which are native to the Tropic of Cancer. It blooms twice a year with beautifully colored flowers.

Rose Frederic Mistral

Blue Lupines

Rose Wenlock

Herbaceous Peony

I got these a number of years ago from White Flower Farm, back before every hardware store carried some tubers in the spring bin of seasonal flowers. Don't remember the variety, but stunning just the same.

White Asiatic Lilly

Daylilly Stella D'Oro

Rose Bibi Maizoon

Tempermental and difficult to grow. The canes are very slender and droop with such heavy blooms.

Ambridge Rose

Coreopsis Moonbeam

The coreopsis really start firing in July and won't let up until after a hard frost.

Rose Heirloom

Most underrated. It is a gorgeous color and terrific fragrance. Short grower though, particularly for a tea.

Rose Gertrude Jekyll

Grows in cycles - blooms, drops all leaves, looks almost dead, then starts to bud out again.

Hens and Chicks

I did not know that "hens and chicks" flowered. Weird!

Rose Chrysler Imperial

I think it has the best fragrance of any rose in my garden.

Rose Graham Thomas

Graham Thomas sure is a "must have" rose.

Asclepias Tuberosa

Butterfly weed. Often orange, I've got a mauve variety. Started these from seed, this plant has taken a few years to stretch its legs.

Campanula

Bell flower. A vigorous bloomer with delicate blue flowers.

Clematis Nelly Moser

Notice the flowers in the background, just barely opening in the morning sun.
